The location is spectacular. Many hotels on Jaú or that area are steep towards Paulista, but Haddock Lobo is a gentler slope, so it's a trivial walk up.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is stylish. The breakfast was a good start to the day, with a very traditional navegue em torno deste site Brazilian breakfast. The location was very good, we were walking distance from many interesting restaurants. Also walking distance from a metro station.
The greatest activities in the city are related to its artistic, foody, technological and cultural scene: stick to them and you won't regret a thing. A solid research before the trip will come in handy where to go and where not to go, safety-wise. Other than that, it can be a non-issue.

People are warm and helpful although most of them don't speak english, they still tried their best to help us with directions. Waking tour is wonderful. We had a great time. Food is amazing. Plenty of good restaurants and bars around.
